What age is Little Business, Big Ideas suitable for?
The course is designed for young entrepreneurs aged approximately 10–18. Younger children may enjoy completing activities with adult support, while older children can work more independently.
Does my child need a business idea before starting?
Not at all! The course guides children through discovering business ideas, choosing one to develop and turning it into a practical business plan.
How does the course work?
Little Business, Big Ideas is a self-paced digital course with 10 modules, practical activities, quizzes and business challenges. Children can work through the lessons at their own speed.
Is the course delivered through videos?
No. The course uses easy-to-follow written lessons and hands-on activities, allowing children to learn by doing rather than watching videos.
What do I receive when I purchase?
You'll receive access to all 10 downloadable modules, including lessons, activities, quizzes and business challenges, along with the included business planning resources.
Can I use the course for more than one child?
Yes! One purchase covers children within the same household. You can print or reuse the materials for siblings without purchasing another copy. Sharing outside your household or reselling the materials isn't permitted.
Does my child need to complete the course within a certain time?
No! There are no deadlines. Children can complete the modules at a pace that suits their interests, learning style and family schedule.
Does my child need a computer?
A computer or tablet is helpful for accessing the digital materials and spreadsheets, but many of the activities can be printed and completed by hand.
Will my child need help from a parent/carer?
Some activities can be completed independently, while others may require adult guidance, particularly business registration, online selling, payments and safety. We also include practical information for parents and carers.
Will my child actually start a business?
The course gives children the knowledge and practical tools to develop a business idea and prepare to launch. Whether they go on to sell products or services is entirely up to them and their family.
Are there any additional costs?
The course costs $119 AUD. There may be optional expenses if your child decides to launch a business, such as materials, website hosting, registration, packaging or market stall fees. These aren't required to complete the course.
